LAHORE - A 25-year-old man was gunned down by unidentified motorcyclists at the doorstep of his house in the limits of Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate area, police said Saturday.
Dozens of residents and relatives of the deceased staged a protest against the killing. The protesters also blocked the main road by putting the body in the middle of the road. A good number of police officials reached the spot and managed to disperse the protesters after holding a series of negotiations with the angry protesters. The police officers assured the victim’s family that the killers would be arrested soon.
The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy. the police have registered a murder case against unidentified killers and are investigating with no arrest made yet.
Separately, a man was killed while two others wounded when a car rammed into a footpath in the Garden Town area. Police said that car rammed into footpath because of over speeding. As a result, Aman Ullah died on the spot while Sajid and Mohsin sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a hospital. Further investigation is underway.
