195 more cases of Dengue virus have been detected in the City, while the Punjab health department (PHD) was focusing on weather as the sole relief, as winters would hopefully reduce the frequency of patients. Media reports indicate the total toll of Dengue patients to 2,400 to date, as doctors report a steady influx of patients in public and private hospitals. The spokesman of PHD, Punjab has publicly denied any dearth of platelets, which were being provided to public hospitals according to requirements.
