LAHORE - Thyroxin, a life-saving drug, has vanished from the market, thereby putting the lives of patients at risk.
The patients are running from one market to another in search of the medicine which is available only in a limited quantity at a few medical stores, but at a very high price. 
A vial of 100 tablets, if available, is being sold between Rs 200 to 300 in the black market against its actual price of Rs 100. Thyroxin has been included in the category of life-saving drugs and is used for treatment of thyroid gland to stabilise its functions.
