LAHORE - A spokesman of Health Department Punjab has said that the Boards of Management (BoM) of Autonomous Medical Institutions, constituted under section-6 of the Punjab Medical and Health Institutions Act 2003, have not dissolved and these BoM are still functional. The spokesman further stated that the Boards of Management of 13 Autonomous Medical Institutions were constituted by the government with the approval of competent authority in 2003. He further clarified that the rumours regarding the dissolution of these BoM are baseless. He said these BoM have full administrative powers to run the institutions.
