LAHORE TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Majid Nizami has said that Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam will be the centre for the ideological training of the youth. He passed these remarks during a visit to the under-construction site of the project on Wednesday. Majid Nizami was accompanied by Pakistan Movement Workers Trust Chairman Colonel (r) Jamshed Ahmed Tareen, NPT Vice-chairman Professor Dr Rafique Ahmed, Justice (r) Mian Mehboob Ahmed, Justice (r) Muneer Ahmed Mughal, Mian Farooq Altaf, Brigadier (r) Zafar Iqbal Ch and others. A briefing about the project was also arranged on the occasion. The Aiwan-e-Quaid is being constructed at Johar Town on 48 canals land of the NPT. The foundation stone of the Aiwan had already been laid by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on June 6, 2009. A committee of the Punjab government had approved the design of the Aiwan. Former Punjab chief minister late Ghulam Haider Wyne, NPT Chairman Majid Nizami and their companions had planned the construction of the Aiwan for the ideological training of the people and also to make true the dreams of the Pakistan Movement workers. Expressing his feelings of satisfaction, Majid Nizami said it was a matter of honour for them to construct such a project. Indeed, he added, it was being constructed with the help of Allah Almighty. He remembered that God gives him opportunity to add some share in the construction of Aiwan-e-Iqbal. Though one billion rupees are needed to construct the Aiwna-e-Quaid and sometime I surprise that how such amount will be arranged but I am sure that Allah Almighty will help me in this regard. Majid Nizami wished that he could see the completion of the project in his life. The NPT Chairman thanked the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for providing funds for the construction of Aiwan. He also directed the engineers to work with devotion for the construction of the outstanding building.
