Govt warned against permission for Basant

LAHORE - President Shabab-e-Milli Lahore, Ahmed Salman Baloch has threatened the government of sit in protest outside Governors House and the CM House if permission for Basant and kite flying is given. He was addressing a press conference here on Saturday. Abid Mir, Majid Ghauri, Farhan Shaukat, Nadeem Bara, Akram Sindhu and families of innocent children who lost lives or injured due to chemical and metallic twine were also present. Ahmed Salman Baloch said that Shabab-e-Milli Lahore would mobilise people against the dangerous game of kite flying and basant and hold referendum on February 15. He also announced to organise a protest demonstration against basant and kite flying outside Lahore Press Club on Sunday (today). Govt urged to overcome unemployment Jamat-e-Islami Women Wing has demanded the government to take practical measures to overcome unemployment, price hike and loadshedding. The demand was made at a meeting of JI Women Wing Shura here on Saturday. Nazima Punjab Humaira Tariq presided over the meeting. The Shura also demanded the government to pass on the benefits of decrease in soya bean and cooking oil prices to the public. It also demanded implementation on the minimum wages decision in letter and spirit.
