Lahore- Security agencies arrested a suspect today from a passenger plane at Lahore airport, and later cleared him of any wrongdoing.
According to Airport Security Force (ASF) officials, the passengers informed plane crew about presence of a suspect soon after a private company’s flight 769 landed on Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport from Muscat at around 8:15 pm. Upon receiving the information, the ASF officials stopped the plane at Hajj terminal for an emergency operation as security forces surrounded the plane carrying 300 passengers.
The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Shah from Lahore. He was arrested by ASF commandos.
He was grilled at the airport and later cleared of any attempt of terrorism as claimed some passengers in the flight. The ASF also interrogated the passengers onboard the flight and collected information about exactly what happened.
