PTI women activists hold demo outside US Consulate

LAHORE-The women activists of PTI staged a sit-in outside the US Consulate on Tuesday as they held US responsible for the tragic death of Shumaila, who committed suicide after the murder of her husband, Fahim, by an American national. The participants led by President Women Wing Punjab Saloni Bokhari also criticised the federal and Punjab governments for their alleged silence over the issue. Speaking on the occasion, Saloni Bokhari expressed her apprehension that both the Federal and Punjab government might succumb to US pressure for release of Raymond Davis by declaring that he enjoyed diplomatic immunity. She accused PML-N of just doing lip service on the issue to gain popularity. Expressing grief over the death of Fahims widow, Saloni said she took her life after finding no hope of getting justice at the hands of present rulers. The PTI women leaders believed that international law was being misused.
