LAHORE Almi Tanzeem Ahle Sunnah held countrywide rallies and demonstrations on Friday to protest against delay in arrests of the culprits of Data Darbar suicide attacks. During Friday prayers, ulema and khatibs highlighted the issue of suicide bombings and declared them Haram in the light of Quranic teachings. Demonstrations and rallies were held outside mosques after Friday prayers to press for the demands of arrest of culprits of Data Darbar suicide attacks and wave of terrorism. In Lahore, a large demonstration was held at Data Darbar which was led by Shahdi Gardezi, Mukhatar Rizvi, Mustafa Rizvi, Arif Imam Advocate, Mufti Mohabbat Ali, Prof Deen Muhammad and others. Addressing the participants, the leaders demanded of the rulers to step down if they could not protect the shrines of Sufi saints from the terrorism. They alleged that the govt had shelved the case of Data Darbar instead of unveiling its perpetrators and patrons.
