LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that all citizens were praying for Pak Army fighting anti-terrorism war for the country’s survival.
He was talking to media and addressing a high level meeting of National Development Reforms Commission of China in Beijing on Tuesday. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that elimination of terrorism and energy crisis is essential for achieving the objectives of development projects. However, besides use of force, effective social measures are also needed for curbing terrorism and extremism, he added. He said that provision of education, health and other basic facilities to the common man is essential for foiling the nefarious designs of terrorists.
He said the existing situation could not be viewed separately from the decisions taken in the decade of 80s.
Earlier, during meetings with Chinese authorities and heads of different institutions, Shahbaz said the progress of China is a role model for Pakistan. He said the rapid development made by China also surprised the western world; however, it is the responsibility of China and other developed nations to share their experiences and successes with other countries. He said that shortage of electricity is a national crisis and China has helped Pakistan in every hour of need.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is also fighting a war against energy crisis with the help of its friendly countries.
