Lahore High Court has summoned Attorney General of Pakistan and Advocate General Punjab on delaying in Local Government Elections. The LHC acted on a petition filed by Fawad Chaudhary in which, he pleaded that delaying in Local Government Elections is a violation of the constitution. The petition contended that the appointment of administrators is unconstitutional and they cannot use the development budget. He requested to the court to issue stay order for stopping Local Government Elections. Justice Azmat Saeed of LHC, on this, issued summon notices of July 1 to Attorney General of Pakistan and Advocate General Punjab.
