Asma flays Waheeda Shah disqualification

LAHORE– If there had been a male in place of Waheeda Shah, he would not have been disqualified. The media discriminated against her by repeating her action 15 times a day, said Supreme Court Bar Association former president Asma Jahangir.
She was speaking at a seminar organised by the LHCBA on Thursday.
Human rights activist Jugnu Mohsin, Women Action Forum representative Gulnaz, SCBA Vice President Imrana Parveen Baloch, Punjab Bar Council member Ghazala Khan, LHCBA Secretary Finance Rafila Minhas and LHCBA President Shahram Sarwar were also present there.
Asma said that the media should have also projected the conditions of women in constituency of Waheeda Shah who were not given permission to cast votes.
