Moot on health research concludes

LAHORE - An International Conference on Innovative Biological and Public Health Research (IBPHR 2014) Thursday concluded at the Government College University. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khaleequr Rahman was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony, while US Cornell University Animal Genetics and Genomic Lab Principal Dr Ikhide G Imumurin, Prof Dr Ashraf Ahmed Ali from King Saud University, KSA, GCU Dean of Sciences Prof Dr Islam Ullah Khan, Department of Zoology Chairperson Prof Dr Nusrat Jahan and a large number of distinguished intellectuals were also present.
More than 500 participants from all over the world attended the conference and delivered lectures on current burning issues like dengue, malaria, diabetes, cancer, genetic disorders and food safety.
In his concluding address, the VC congratulated Prof Dr Nusrat Jahan on organising successful international conference and stressed on the importance of the topic the moot. He also distributed souvenirs to the participants and winners of the poster competition as Saira Yousuf got first position.
