LAHORE - The Farmer Organisations (FOs) constituted by the Punjab Irrigation & Drainage Authority (PIDA) have completed the desilting of 682 mile long 122 water channels in the province for providing better water supply to the farmers, spokesman of PIDA claimed on Thursday.
According to details, Farmer Organisations have completed de-silting of 314 mile long 56 water channels of perennial canals and 368 mile long 66 non-perennial canals in the province.
It is expected that de-silting campaign will improve the flow of water in the canals which will increase the agro-productivity.
