Bilawal to visit Punjab next month


LAHORE  - Patron-in-Chief of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would be visiting Punjab in March this year to galvanise the party in the most populous province having more than half of the total National Assembly seats.
Precise date of his arrival and schedule of Bilawal’s meetings with party office-bearers would be announced later.
He would also meet journalists, intellectuals and leaders of social organisations during his week-long stay here.
The PPP’s central Punjab President Mian Manzoor Ahmad  Wattoo on Sunday told the media that Bilawal would overview party’s organisational matters and have meetings with party office- bearers at the divisional level.  Wattoo termed PPP head’s upcoming Punjab a first step into practical politics.  The PPP’s central leadership wants to reorganise the party at the Union Council level.  A proposal to add at least 25 more members in the organisation in every Union Council of Punjab is also under consideration besides enhancing the number of members in all the executive bodies at every tier of the organisation.
