Auction of Bakar Mandi approved
 
 
 


LAHORE - DCO Noor-ul-Amin Mengal has given the approval of the auction of contracts of the entry fee and loading fee of Bakar Mandi Shahpur Kanjra.
He gave this approval of auction of contract at Town Hall here on Saturday while presiding over the auction committee. The entry fee contract of Shahpur Kanjra was awarded to Malik Fayyaz on successful bid of Rs150million while the contract of loading fee was awarded to Haji Ismail on giving bid of Rs3.6million.
On this occasion, the DCO congratulated the successful contractors and assured them that the City District Government would solve the problems of the contractors at every cost. He also directed TMO Iqbal Town to provide security and other basic facilities to contractors at Shahpur Kanjra. He also made it clear that action would continue against the illegal slaughtering in the City.
Nine Sheesha cafes sealed: He raiding teams of City District Government initiated action and confiscated 78 Sheesha huqas in different raids during last 48 hours from nine Sheesha cafes. The teams sealed all the cafes. Monitoring teams raided red lounge and confiscated 18 huqas, while six huqas were captured from william bride; nine huqas from Italian Lounge; eight huqas from huqa lounge and six huqas from Turkish huqa at Ghulsan Ravi.



Monitoring teams also raided on café black sand, chill café, red café and fine café at Shalimar Link road, Abbot road and near Lahore Hotel and sealed all cafes and confiscated 31 huqas there. The DCO said that Sheesha cafes were not only polluting environment but were affecting the health of new generation. He said that action against Sheesha cafes would continue till end of such cafes.
