Minister visits Services Hospital
Punjab Health Minister Khalil Tahir Sindhu paid a surprise visit to Services Hospital on Monday evening.
He checked emergency and other sections of the hospital. The Minister took notice of the poor sanitary conditions at the hospital canteen and total disregard to hygienic principles in the storage of food items.
He reprimanded the Deputy Medical Superintendent over the heaps of garbage and water accumulated in front of Medical Ward No 2.
The minister lamented that his orders regarding improvement of sanitary conditions had been ignored. He said that a meeting of Medical Superintendents of all hospitals had been convened last week for improving sanitary conditions in hospitals but the situation has not changed. The minister warned that the entire staff of the hospital will be suspended if the conditions did not improve within a day.
