LAHORE - Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhhood Ahmad Khan has said the successful holding of All Parties Conference has proved that the country will take its own decisions in fight against terrorism and no foreign power will be allowed to meddle in our internal affairs.
Addressing a seminar at Children Library Complex in connection with the International Literacy Day on Monday, Rana regretted that some foreign “think tanks for “trying to label Pakistan as the most dangerous”.
He added: “Such foreign think tanks should know that the most civilised population in the world lives in Pakistan. The crisis is the result of wrong policies of previous rulers who did not attach priority to education.”
He promised that his party-led government will better education system. He counted PML-N’s endeavours for bettering education.
Punjab Literacy Secretary Dr Pervaiz Ahmed Khan, Country Director of Unesco Dr Kozu Ke Nagata and JICA Adviser Chiho Ohashi also spoke on the occasion. Similar function was held at private school, where Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman mentioned Rs7.5billion allocation for private schools through the Punjab Education Foundation.
