Trader commits suicide over domestic issue

LAHORE - A young trader committed suicide on Saturday after disappointment over domestic issue in Lohari Gate police limits on Saturday. The deceased Imran, son of Bashir Butt, resident of the same locality was running a local factory near Amin Park. Police investigators said the deceased on the day of incident first evacuated the factory by directing his employees to leave it and later opened fire at his head and died on the spot. Police handed over the body to the deceaseds heirs after necessary formalities. Two youths attempt suicide Two youths including a newly-married girl attempted suicides over domestic issues in different police limits on Saturday. However both of the youth were saved with timely medical treatment. The victim girl Rozi Bibi, resident of Basti Saidan Shah, tied knot with a youth of the same locality a couple of months back. But Racecourse police said, the couple used to quarrel over different issues. On Saturday the girl took poisonous pills and was rushed to a local hospital. Her condition was reported to be stable till filing of this report. In another incident, a 20-year-old Imran also attempted suicide over domestic issue but his condition was also reported to be stable after the doctors provided him timely treatment. Three die in various incidents At least three people including a minor child died in various localities of the provincial capital on Saturday. A 60-year-old man was crushed to death when a speeding auto-rickshaw hit him near Madina Chowk located in Lorry Adda. Police investigators said the deceased Ghulam Abbas, a resident of the same locality, was crossing the road when a rickshaw hit him as a result of which the sustained severe injuries. The locals however rushed him to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to wounds. The rickshaw driver however fled the scene. Police concerned have also registered an FIR with no arrest till filing of this report. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old youth drowned into a Canal located in Manga Mandi. The deceased Sarwar along with his friends came to swim in canal where he surprisingly drowned. His body was not recovered so far. In another incident, a five-year-old child succumbed to wounds after he fell from the roof of a home in Hanjerwall police precincts on Saturday. The deceased Rafaqat, son of Zaheer and resident of Thokar Niaz Baig, was playing on the roof when he slipped. Police investigators said other children started crying over the incident as a result the family members approached the site. The injured child was rushed to a hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.
