LAHORE - A special sitting on the topic The Food Security in Pakistan and Women was held at the Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehreek-e-Pakistan on Monday. Editor-in-Chief TheNation and Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust (NPT) Majid Nizami presided over the ceremony which was jointly organised by Women Section of NPT and Tehreek-e-Pakistan Workers Trust. Six motions were passed during the sitting in which it was urged that basic food need of masses should be fulfilled before exporting the food production. The participants demanded of the government to put bar on multinational companies for not sending a huge profit abroad but a limited and the rest should be invested in the country. Introducing of land reforms system for women, Organic Technique for cultivation, interest free loans for women and women facilitation centers in every districts were also demanded in the motions.
