Shera Kot woman dies of burns inflicted by inlaws

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE A mother of three daughters, who was rushed to a local hospital with sever burn injuries died there on Monday, police said. According to the police investigators, the in-laws of Sania Bibi set herself ablaze by sprinkling kerosene oil at her at their residence in Shera Kot area. Nargis Bibi, mother of the deceased, told the police that Sania had contacted marriage with one Ashfaque some eight years ago. She said that the deceased had three daughters but her husband used to exchange hot words with her as she could not deliver a baby boy. On the day of incident, her husband against exchanged hot words with her and later he along with his family members set the woman on fire. She was admitted to the Mayo Hospital with sever burn injuries, where she died on Monday. The police have removed the body to the morgue for an autopsy. The police have also arrested the husband of the deceased and his other family members and are investigating.
