OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The youth leaders of different political parties of Pakistan have said that the youth played a key role during the Pakistan Movement and now the young generation can play a strong role for the prosperity and stability of the country. These views were expressed by the speakers in a TheNation program Stable Pakistan and the Youth Responsibilities held in connection with International Youth Day on the premises of Hameed Nizami Hall on Friday. The advisor for the Youth Affairs to the Prime Minister and President Peoples Youth Organization Punjab chapter, Mian Muhammad Ayub, in his address said, Pakistan was established to live as long as the world itself and the present leadership rested with in safe hands. Nothing is greater asset than the youth if trained properly, otherwise, he said, they fell into the laps of terrorists. The PPP bestows upon tickets to the young persons, other parties should also follow it in this regard. Pakistan Muslim League (N) MNA Khurram Dastgir said that 91 out of 342 members of the National Assembly were the young people. But, he expressed grief over the present worsening situation of the mother land, saying the youth are not properly trained, hence, they become victim of enemies. He advised the young people to vow to stand by the truth and struggle hard to strengthen Pakistan. The President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Youth Wing, Muhammad Madani while addressing to the participants said that the greater the looter the higher he would be respectful in Pakistan. He blamed the rulers for low literacy rate in the country. The Secretary General Shabbab-e-Milli Muhammad Imran Malik said that the youth was blatantly ignored by the rulers after Pakistan was established. He held some of the political leaders responsible for using the young like tissue papers to materialize their vested interests. He said it was the responsibility of the state to guide the young generation to create a prosperous Pakistan. A large number of political workers and common public was present on the occasion.
