LAHORE - Speakers at a sitting said that through their love for humanity the saints were able to spread Islam in the sub-continent.
They expressed these views at a special sitting held at the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan to remember Sahibzada Pir Mian Khalil Ahmad Sharaqpuri. The sitting was organised by Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust on Wednesday.
They said that Sahibzada Pir Khalil Ahmad’s ancestors were among those spiritual personalities of the sub-continent who rendered great services during the Pakistan Movement.
Sahibzada Pir Mian Walid Ahmad Jawad Sharaqpuri, Sajjada Nashin Astana-i-Aliya, Sharqpur Sharif, was the guest of honour and those who spoke include Justice (r) Nazir Ahmad Ghazi, Justice (r) Dr Munir Ahmad Mughal, Allama Munir Ahmad Yousufi, Allama Mansha Tabish Kasuri and Maulana Shafi Josh. A large number of people attended the sitting.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice (r) Nazir Ahmad Ghazi observed that those who seek closeness to Allah are far away from hypocrisy. Their personalities exude divine influence that can change entire one’s course of life for the better, he added.
Justice(r) Dr Munir Ahmad Mughal observed that the Muslims take great pride in being the followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Maulana Shafi Josh also paid a glowing tribute to the mystics and saints of the sub-continent including Sahibzada Pir Mian Khalil Ahmad for assisting Allama Iqbal and the Quaid-i-Azam. 
Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Secretary Shahid Rasheed observed that Mian Khalil was a great admirer and supporter of Dr Majid Nizami. He attended every function held at the Wyne Hall and advised his followers to subscribe to the daily Nawa-i-Waqt.
