LHAORE Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (PILAC) organized an evening with famous poet and writer Zafar Iqbal on Thursday. On the occasion, a galaxy of writers, poets and journalists including Dr Khawaja Zikria, Ghulam Hussain Sajid, Aslam Kamal, Ejaz Kanwar Raja, Javaid Iqbal cartoonist, Dr Ashfaq Wirk, Dr Kanwal Feroz, Sofia Bedar, Anjum Qureshi, Hameeda Moeen, Dr Zia ul Hasan, Yousaf Punjabi, Iqbal Qaiser, Baba Najmi, DG PILAC Fehmeeda Mushtaq, Director PILAC, Dr Shughra Sadaf, Khaqan Haidar Ghazi and others were gathered to pay tribute to the noted poet. The speakers admired the administration of PILAC for holding such evenings with living artists and writers. They said Zafar Iqbal was an asset of the country who had rendered long services to the literature. It is our tradition to pay tributes to the late artists, poets and writers but PILACs administration started to honour the living legends which is really commendable, they added. PILAC will also hold an eveing with remonwned poet and writer Dr Inam ul Haq Javaid on Friday (today).
