Qadri calls for electoral reforms to make democracy workable

Minhaj-ul-Quran Chief Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that democracy was not about huge buildings and a few families having a monopoly on economic resources and political power.  Addressing Executive Council of Pakistan Awami Tehreek from Canada on Saturday, he said that it was rather defined by the process of transfer of rights to the people, who were real stakeholders in the system. He said that elections without reforms would bring about no change in the way governance was undertaken in the country.
