LAHORE Following special directives by Capital City Police Officer M Aslam Tareen, the Organized Crime Agency Police of Lahore have arrested 10 members of a notorious gang, including seven females. The criminals are said to be involved in dozens of heinious acts including street crimes and robberies.The City police have also recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 0.2 million from their possession. The arrested woman dacoits include Anayat Ali, a proclaimed offender, Mujahid Ali, Amjad Ali, Parveen Bibi, Khalida, Mukhtara Bibi, Rabi, Shakeela, Iqra and Azra Bibi. The criminals have confessed to a number of cases of dacoity, street crimes and robbery during preliminary interrogation. According to the spokesman of Lahore Police, the DIG Investigation Ali Aamir Malik and SSP Investigation Abdul Razzaq Chemma directed SP CIA Muhammad Umar Virk to take effective measures against these gangs. SP CIA constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP CIA Cantonment Mian Ather Farooq comprising Sub-Inspector Karamat Ali and other police officials. The police team worked hard day and night and collected particulars of this criminal gang and arrested its 10 culprits.
