LAHORE – The city received the second rain of this winter on Thursday, bringing an end to the dry spell.
This shower is expected to help cure sour throats and relive the seasonal allergies.
Met Office said the provincial capital received 6mm rain, while the temperature remained between 8 and 14 degrees Celsius. The city would remain partially cloudy for the next 24 hours.
Light showers are expected in Rawalpindi and Gujranwala districts of Punjab, besides mist/fog in the morning in the plains.
The low-lying areas of the provincial metropolis were inundated for around 10 hours, exposing Wasa. Snarl-ups on the City roads exposed traffic managers. However, the residents also cooked special dishes to enjoy the chilling weather.
The doctors in the provincial capital were of the view that the medium shower could help eradicating the seasonal allergies and save the people from using more medicines. They said that Lahorites were facing serious problems due to the seasonal allergies occurring due to dry weather for the last couple of days.
