Reply sought from FJMC principal

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday sought reply from the Fatima Jinah Medical College Principal on a contempt of court petition for disobeying a court order. Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan passed these orders on the petition moved by Advocate Mian Aslam.
Arguing the petition, the counsel said the high court had imposed fine Rs 50,000 on Principal FMJC Dr Fakhar Imam for misusing of his powers and authority.
The lawyer pointed out that the principal FJMC had not yet deposited the fine money into the national exchequer despite the orders which is contempt of court.
The petitioner requested the court to initiate the contempt proceedings against the respondent principal and direct him to deposit the fine money. The court heard initial arguments and issued notice to the principal for reply until January 16.–Staff Reporter
