Stray bullet kills mother-of-six in Lahore



A 45-year-old woman who was admitted to hospital with bullet injuries the other day, passed away on Thursday, Mozang police said.
Irashad Bibi and her husband, Abdul Rashid, were sleeping on the rooftop of their house in the Mozang area when a stray bullet hit her in the belly three days ago.
The mother of six children, is said to be an employee at Mental Hospital, was rushed to the Sir Ganga Ram hospital where she died later. Police said that the woman died because of excessive bleeding. The police have registered a case against unidentified killers and are investigating with no arrest made yet. Separately, a 25-year-old factory worker was gunned down by his colleague during their scuffle in the Chung area, police said.
The resident of Khanewal, Wasim Akram, exchanged harsh words with Nadeem Shahzad over a dispute outside their factory in the Sardar Town locality. Nadeem got infuriated, snatched gun from the security guard, who was on-duty there, and opened straight fire on Waseem. The factory worker sustained serious bullet wounds and was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced as brought dead. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating. A murder case has also been registered against the killer, who was at large till Thursday night.–Staff Reporter
