PPP’s Uzma Bokhari resigns from party, Punjab Assembly

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab Assembly member Uzma Bokhari along with her husband Samiullah Bokhari has resigned from the party, citing differences over policy matters with the former outfit.
Talking to media on Friday, Uzma Bokhari said that there was no more place in the party for those who gave sacrifices and instead the party was paying attention towards all those who could benefit the party in the next elections.
“I have resigned from my party membership as well as from Punjab Assembly,” she added.
Although, the former PPP MPA did not mention which party she would be joining in the future but sources said that the MPA and her husband would likely join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
