Om Puri at PA

LAHORE  - Celebrated Indian artist Om Puri, who is in Lahore these days, on Friday visited the Punjab Assembly and observed the assembly proceedings.
He was welcomed at the assembly by deputy speaker Sher Ali Gorchani, treasury and opposition MPAs. On the occasion, Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah welcomed the announcement of the world fame actor that he would never do any film having propaganda against Pakistan.
On the occasion, opposition member of Jamaat Islami Dr Waseem Akhtar welcomed the versatile artist and said he should ask his government for resolving the Kashmir dispute and must not made any dam on Pakistani rivers.
Later on, the veteran artist along with Divia Dutta also visited Faiz Ghar in Model Town on the invitation of Salima Hashmi. He visited the gallery displaying pictures of Faiz Ahmed Faiz. On the occasion, Om Puri also shared his memories. He said that he wanted to join forces but he became artist. He also clarified that late Indian actor Amrish Puri was not his brother.
