Boy dies in Lahore Panchayat firing

LAHORE - A seven-year-old boy was killed while another seven wounded seriously when an armed man went on rampage during a Panchayat as his estranged wife refused to go back.
The incident took place in Nishtar Colony, police said, adding, the killer is at large.
Amir Hamza got infuriated, took out his gun, and opened fires at a Panchayat held to reconcile the matter.
As a result, a seven-year-old boy who was standing on the nearby rooftop sustained a bullet and died on the spot. Seven other persons also sustained bullet wounds and were admitted to hospital. Police have registered the case and are investigating.

Police have registered a case against a phony soothsayer for assaulting a 15-year-old girl in South Cantonment, police sources said on Tuesday.
The mother of victim told police that she took her to Pir Ghulam Rasool for ‘purification of her soul’. He took her to his room and raped, she said.
