LAHORE – After terrorist attack at Bacha Khan International Airport, Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) was put on alert on Saturday night.
An official of ASF said though there was no any threat to AIIAP but even then they have taken precautionary measures to meet any untoward situation. He said that patrolling has been enhanced and body, vehicle and baggage search has been enhanced. He said that ASF was performing as per SOP and there was no problem at AIIAP. A staffer of Civil aviation Authority (CAA) flight inquiry said that there was no direct flight from Lahore to Peshawar however few connecting flights were being operated from Saudi cities like Doha and Riyadh to Peshawar via Lahore and on Saturday there was no such connecting flight also. She said that flight operation from Lahore airport was being operated as normal.
