LAHORE - PML-Q chief Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain Sunday said that Balochistan National Party Awami (BNP-A) has agreed to 10-point agenda of PML-Q and PAT and the Baloch party would join us for a larger opposition alliance after consulting its central executive committee.
Shujaat made these remarks through a press statement, which was issued after a meeting between him and BNP-A chief Mir Israrullah Zehri.
Mir Israrullah Zehri said that apparently he had no objection to join PML-Q and PAT efforts but he had to consult his party’s central executive committee for getting its approval on the 10-point agenda.
Meanwhile, PML-Q Punjab president Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has termed the new Punjab budget a pile of false promises and wrong figures.
He said this while addressing a PML-Q meeting at the Muslim League House.
He questioned how the government would establish new universities and educational institutions while they could not make functional colleges in six years initiated by the PML-Q government.
Pervaiz said that there were no facilities or incentives for the farmers, workers, traders and other segments of the society while 10 per cent increase in the salaries and pensions was not more than peanuts.
He added that there was no mention in the budget of provision of water and electricity to the farmers.
