PML-N made Punjab a beggar: 'Q'

LAHORE - The rulers have increased the prices of daily use items by four times and they cannot escape the public wrath, said senior leader of PML-Q Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. He expressed these views while addressing the party workers at the residence of PML-Q leader Mian Muhammad Asghar Javeka on Monday. He said people of the country were already facing tough time in form of price-hike, energy crisis and deteriorating law and order situation, but the rulers were adding to their misery by increasing the power tariff and POL prices. Pervez claimed that PML-N was playing the role of friendly opposition at the Centre to prolong its rule in Punjab, however, the people of the country had seen the real face of PML-N leaders. He asserted that PML-N leaders had not only left their friends in the time of crisis but also the country for their vested interests and they were not habitual of facing tough time. He said Punjab was a financially surplus province during his stint in power, while the PML-N government made the province a beggar, as the rulers had not sufficient funds to pay in time salaries of the government employees. He blamed the provincial government of practicing politics of victimisation and warned they would cut what they would sow. Chaudhry Pervaiz claimed the law and order situation in the province was at its worst, and life and property of a common man was left at the mercy of criminals. He said PML-Q would continue its struggle to ensure the provision of the basic facilities to the people of the country, while the government should cut its non-development funds in order to take up the projects of public welfare.
