Traffic police awareness campaign

LAHORE - In a drive to create awareness regarding traffic rules among citizens, the City Traffic Police have launched another campaign to educate the teenage drivers in the provincial capital on Friday. In an official statement, the Chief Traffic Officer Cap (r) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin has directed the wardens of traffic police to initiate awareness campaign among teenagers for coming two days. The SSP further said four booths had been established at vital points in the City to issue them Learner Driving Licenses besides a Learner Permit Van working for the said purpose. "All the citizens having learner licenses should paste a symbol titled 'L' on the front and rear mirrors of the vehicle - so that other drivers might know about him/her and may take precautionary measures," he added. Mobin said after imparting education for two days, a strict action would be initiated against them from Monday. He also appealed to the citizens to extend their cooperation.
