LAHORE: The PML-Q has demanded of the Punjab government to announce special package for the flood-affected farmers, as the downpour swept away their ripe crops.
Chaudhary Zaheer-ud-Din, PML-Q Punjab general secretary, made this demand on Friday through a press statement. He said flood in River Chenab and Sutlej swept away a large number of ripe crops in the villages fall on the run of these rivers, compelling the affected farmers to live a miserable life.
Zaheer also demanded of the provincial government to utilise all means for providing relief to the flood-hit areas. He proposed that services of Pak Army should be sought for the relief activities, besides sending mobile health units to give medical assistance to the affected people.–Staff Reporter
