Comprehensive traffic plan for Youm-e-Ashur

LAHORE (APP) - The City Traffic Police have prepared a comprehensive plan to ensure clear routes for processions and smooth flow of traffic on Youm-e-Ashur on Friday. The Traffic Police also established a control room to coordinate with the traffic management force. Chief Traffic Officer Syed Ahmed Mubeen said here on Thursday that three SPs, nine DSPs, 27 inspectors, 763 wardens and five emergency squads have been setup to control the traffic. The flow of traffic would be controlled by providing diversions on various routes to facilitate the participants of processions and citizen of Lahore. The Chief Traffic Officer Syed Ahmed Mubeen said that all vehicles would be allowed to park at proper designated places and any roadside parking would be strictly prohibited. If any vehicle was found parked at no-parking area challan would be issued for each such vehicle, he said, adding only severe penalities could help stop the violation of traffic signals. The Chief Traffic Officer said the roads leading to the route of main procession would remain clear for the ambulances and Fire Brigade vehicles.
