LAHORE - An Additional District & Sessions judge directed Inspector General Punjab to submit report by September 24, after taking strict legal action against CCPO Lahore under Police Order 2002 for not complying with the court orders.
According to the details, Advocate Asif Chattha the petitioner counsel contended the court that accused Intizar a police constable, Imran and other man attacked on his client and started thrashing him in District & Sessions Court premises on a petty issue.
Later three accused were handed over to Ismapura police but the police protected the accused. Upon which the court on February 28 directed the SHO to register case against the aforesaid accused but the SHO did not do as. Later a compliance petition was filed upon which the CCPO Lahore was directed to submit report after registering case against the SHO but the CCPO did not pay heed to over the court order. After that the court issued show case notices to the CCPO Lahore but despite that he did not respond. On Monday, the court directed the IG Punjab to submit report by September 24 after taking strict legal action against CCPO under Police Order 2002.
