LAHORE - After affecting 2,622 persons in Punjab, dengue has receded due to considerable decrease in the mercury level. No confirmed case was reported from Punjab on Tuesday. According to a spokesman of Punjab health department, 2582 out of 2622 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals after complete recovery. 
NCHD organises free medical camp at remote area: National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) organised a free medical camp for the residents of remote area of tehsil Banda Daud Shah here on Tuesday.
The local people demanded that such medical camps should be held for the people, as they have no other healthcare facilities. In the medical camp a total of 387 male, female and children were examined by the doctors and more than a dozen of patients were referred to district headquarters hospital Karak for operations.
There was a great rush of people in the remote area and the people were very enthusiastic. The elder women informed on the occasion that it was very appreciable that the doctors have come to their village for their treatment and demanded that such medical camps should be held again in their areas. They claimed that there was no healthcare facility for the local people as there was scarce of healthcare facilities in the backward Banda Daud Shah.
On the occasion the district general manager of NCHD Tahir Sharif Afridi resolved to hold such free medical camps in the remote areas of the tehsil in future also and added that the health facilities would be provided to the poor masses on their doorsteps. He thanked Al-Kharia Welfare Organisation and different pharmaceutical companies, which extended help in establishing the free medical camp and also appreciated the services of volunteer doctors.
