District Returning Officer (DRO) Akmal Khan disposed of petitions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and Muhammad Shoaib Siddique, refusing recounting and verification of votes in NA-122 and PP-147, Lahore on Friday. The RO observed that results of votes had been finalised and new election tribunals had been set for the post-election cases. He said it was not his power to hear election petitions and disposed of the petitions.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Shoaib Siddique had filed their applications and submitted their affidavits about rigging in the respective constituencies. They requested for recounting and verification of votes.
