PTI, JI demand probe into NAB officer’s death


LAHORE - The PTI and the JI demanded a thorough probe into the death of NAB officer Kamran Faisal, who was investigating the rental power plants case. Syed Munawar Hasan, the JI chief claiming that Kamran Faisal was murdered demanded an impartial and transparent inquiry to ascertain the cause of his death. He maintained that strong possibilities of Kamran Faisal’s assassination could not be ruled out, as the deceased was investigating an important case of corruption. Quoting Kamran father, he said that the late NAB officer was a man of strong nerves. The JI chief prayed for the deceased and expressed condolences with the bereaved family. Shafqat Mehmood, central spokesman of the PTI, said party strongly believes that an upright officer of the NAB was murdered as he was probing into the vital case of corruption in the history of the country. He said that PTI demands an immediate inquiry into this serious matter in an effort to get the real information about the cause of death of Kamran Faisal. The PTI spokesman claimed that more than 20 officials of NAB from Punjab had alleged that it was a murder, which was being painted as suicide.
