Tablighi Ijtima concludes with heartfelt prayers

LAHORE - The second phase of four-day Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima ended on high note on Sunday with heartfelt prayers in the morning.
On the last day of the spiritual gathering in Raiwind, in the suburbs of Lahore, thousands of attendees left for their homes after an hour long dua led by an Indian scholar.
The second phase of the gathering under the Tablighi Jamaat, which strives for promoting the preaching of Islam, began on Thursday (November 15) and lasted till Sunday morning amid strict security measures. Millions of Muslims from different parts of the world and the host country arrived in Raiwind to attend the Ijtima, the second largest congregation in the world.
They listened to sermons delivered by religious scholars from around the world and participated in dua during the stay. The purpose of the gathering is considered to be the purging of soles and living lives according to Islam.
Earlier on Thursday, a spokesman of the organisation said that Jamaat’s Pakistan amir Haji Abdul Wahab will deliver inaugural speech and international amir Maulana Zubair Al Ahsan will conduct the concluding prayers.
