Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said the PML-N government is taking measures on urgent basis to overcome energy crisis in the country.
He was talking to Junior Scottish Minister for External and International Development Hamza Yusuf in Lahore.
Shahbaz Sharif said work is in progress on Dasu and Bhasha Dams to generate cheap electricity. He said the government has also decided to utilize coal reserves for power generation.
About shortage of gasé the chief minister said LNG is being imported to overcome the scarcity.
He said the government has decided to organize road shows in Britain next month to attract foreign investment in energy sector.
On this occasioné the Scottish minister expressed interest in investing in small hydel power projects and education sector.
