ISLAMABAD Intermittent rains twice in a day, Tuesday, lashed out at the Federal Capital bringing the temperature down to 18C while the maximum temperature was recorded 28C. The loadshedding affected residents of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi came out to parks with their families to enjoy themselves the rain. Many families were observed loitering in Shakarparian, Lake View Park, Damn-e-Koh, Pir Sohawa and in various parks of Islamabad. This sudden change in weather has impacted the household economy. Customers turn over in the markets of electronic appliances was observed low. This change in weather caused less electricity consumption across the city. Similarly, the school and college going boys enjoyed the pleasant weather in their own style ie playing and bathing in the rain. Besides, the employees in public and private sectors also enjoyed this blessing. According to the meteorological department highest maximum temperature 450C was recorded in Larkana. The department also predicted rain with dust-thunderstorm at scattered places of Punjab including Islamabad during next 24 hours. Like Islamabad, Rawalpindi residents also enjoyed themselves the rain spell. They came on roads and thronged public parks. Children along with their parents were among the first ones to visit the recreational spots. The rain not only had a cooling effect on the climate of the twin cities, it also soothed the nerves and solaced the people and calmed down their temperament.
