LAHORE Paintings exhibition of Maria Khan and Sehr Jalil was held at Alhamra Arts Gallery here on Tuesday, which was attended by a large number of art lovers. About 25 pieces of art works were displayed on the occasion, which were painted using different mediums like oil colors, acrylic, ink, spray paint, glitter, markers and chrome on transparency sheets and canvas. Talking to TheNation Maria Khan said the theme of her paintings was the current situation of unrest and uncertainty of the society, which she had tried to depict through abstract art to the understanding of the people. She said main focus of her paintings was on 'lose of control, which was prevailing in the country as she had observed. A large number of art lovers appreciated the work by saying that the artists had successfully expressed the atmosphere of conflicts and troubles faced by the masses. They were of the view that such exhibitions could give mental relief to the masses in this time of severe tension and depression.
