LAHORE - Punjab Minister for Finance, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira on Sunday reconciled two PPP legislators, Sajida Mir and Fauzia Behram, who had a brawl a few days back at Punjab Assembly over a trivial issue. The two ladies buried the hatchet in the presence of finance minister after they were induced by another party lawmaker, Justice (R) Talat Yaqoob to end their differences in better interest of the party. Earlier, the party leadership took serious note of the incident and summoned all female MPAs from Punjab at Zardari House, Islamabad, where they were asked to tender their resignations. Except the two ladies, all others complied with the orders. On Saturday, top party leadership removed Sajida Mir as PPPs Lahore women wing president. She was replaced by Faiza Malik. It is, however, not clear if Sajida would get back the party office she lost as a result of that episode.
