LAHORE – Tanzeem-e-Islami held a demonstration on The Mall on Saturday to warn the government against military operation in North Waziristan Agency (NWA).
Carrying flags, placards and banners inscribed with writings against the US and Israel, the participants marched from Masjid-e-Shuhada to Faisal Chowk to condemn American atrocities in the region. The participants also chanted slogans against the US and Israel.
Condemning attack on Malala Yousafzai, the speakers said that it was against the spirit of Islam. They termed this brutal act a conspiracy against Islam and Pakistan, adding that the reaction of the US on this incident was an eye-opener. “A country that is killing innocent people, including women and children, on regular basis is concerned about attack on a single girl. The attack on Malala was pre-planned and aimed at launching operation in NWA,” they alleged.
