LAHORE-Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has said that PPP is in power due to sacrifices of its martyrs and this is the reason that it was occupying all important slots in the Centre and in the provinces including Gilgit Baltistan. Talking to the media after inauguration of party office in Sanda, and later addressing a cheque distribution ceremony organised by Pakistan Baitul Maal at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Friday, Khosa said if he was governor today it was because of the blood of the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the party and people of Pakistan. He said PPP was the only party which could hold all federating units together. The governor said that Bhutto family underwent numerous sufferings just for the sake of the poor. Khosa said PPP was more than a political party; as it symbolised a philosophy and a vision which could not be diminished from peoples hearts. He said PPP jaialaas were not afraid of any thing and even death could not scare them. We will continue to serve the people even if we lose our lives, he observed, adding that he was proud of being a jialaa because it was the name of an extreme loyalty with the party and its leadership. He said blood of slain governor Salmaan Taseer will not go waste. The governor on this occasion gave away Rs 60,000 (sixty thousand) to an old PPP worker, Muhammad Siddique alias Heera Saneen besides announcing a monthly stipend amounting Rs 5000 (five thousand) in recognition of his services for the party.
