Minister for more support to private edu institutes

LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that Punjab government will continue cooperation with private educational institutions for providing facilities of quality education to the students.
He said this while addressing annual prize distribution function at Crescent Model Higher Secondary School for Girls Shadman. He advised the students to work hard for acquiring knowledge. He also gave away shields and medals to the students of the school.
The minister said that besides setting up modern laboratories and providing equipments for giving practical training to the male and female students in science subjects in all government schools of the province, awareness will also be created among new generation about natural facts and human attitudes through models relating to social sciences.
Later, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan also inaugurated annual sports of a high school “SOS Hermann Gmeiner School” being run by SOS Children Village Pakistan. The students demonstrated PT show, march past and gymnastic. Education Minister said that sports play an important role in healthy life. That is why, PML-N leadership is promoting sports culture in the society, he added.
President SOS Children Village Pakistan Mrs. Suriya Anwar and Chairperson SOS Mrs. Rubina Ali highlighted the aims and objectives of SOS Children. They said that after providing technical training and higher education to the girls, SOS Children Village also arranges marriage of the girls. It was told that SOS Hermann Gmeiner Schools are already functioning in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Kasur, Dhadiyal and Jamshoro. A Hermann Gmeiner School is under construction in Sialkot whereas these schools will soon be made functional at Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot for providing quality education.
